International Week

Today I had carpool duty. It is a lovely 52, so I’m not complaining. In fact, it was fun. Because it is International Week at my school I am in cultural clothes. It is a hybrid today…Monday it was definitely Greece and I made souvlaki, tzatziki, and olive oil cake. Yesterday was India and I made chicken tikka masala with basmati rice and lemon cookies. Today? Well, today is, let’s say, an Eastern European vibe. I am wearing a wool vest with Teutonic decorations with a white blouse and a skirt…the food is kielbasa and sauerkraut, pierogies, and Polish cake with blueberries. I am doing what I can. Tomorrow is the World Walk, and I think I am making something Latin…tbd..

Dressing up today and waving at parents and students in car line kindled a little spark in me. It helped me to remember some of the really fun things we have done here at The Barn.

It is pleasant.
